Hiker's Refuge: Located at the start of Stage 2 of the Costa Rica Trail, Casa Tamandua was created by hikers for hikers.

 

Casa Tamandua was born from the dream that inspires the Costa Rica Trail: it is the materialization of a deep desire, that of hikers who love hiking and dreamed of living along the path they love so much.

 

From the very beginning, Juancho's dreams remained etched in his memory, something he repeated over and over again: "I'm going to come and live on the Camino." Five years later, that dream has become a reality with Casa Tamandua.

 

Andrés and Juan brought this project to life with the hope of creating memories and offering an authentic cultural experience for walkers. We want every night you spend here to add to the history of the Camino, leaving traces of love in the hearts of those who rest in our refuge.
